Miami’s 78 and sunny winter makes packing something to look forward.
It’s more fun to fit mini dresses and high heels in a suitcase than knit sweaters and snow boots, isn’t it? Miami offers an easy escape from East Coast winters, so it’s no wonder the city sees the most tourists in those months (Art Basel anyone?)
On a recent weekend trip for Chris’s birthday, we got to experience what people move to the sunshine state for. A few days of poolside fun, beachside dining and easy living made a strong case for spending winters in Miami (if only we could get used to the lifestyle). The city has something for every tourist, from the beach lover and art enthusiast to the foodie and club goer.
Knowing it would be warm and sunny the whole time, we packed a mix of open-back and cutout dresses, plunging tops, ruched bathing suits, slinky corsets, and high-slit skirts. On our feet, you’d mostly find clear PVC heels or comfortable flats. From clubs to restaurants, we brought New York’s edgy fashion attitude to the streets of Miami. It made for some colorful, at times revealing, and all-around fun outfits.
