3 Williamsburg Restaurants You Need To Try ASAP

Kicking off our neighborhood guide with a roundup of restaurants we recently discovered—and just HAVE to share. Get your taste buds ready!

For a Tawainese experience that’s worth the wait—Win Son

This place is one of a kind. With dishes like oyster omelets (O-a Jian) and shrimp-topped Danzi noodles, it has one of the most exciting foreign menus I’ve seen in a while! Located on the corner of Montrose and Graham Avenue, Win Son opened in 2016 thanks to Tawainese-American duo Josh Ku and Twigg Brown. The pair traveled to Tainan City where they experienced the food culture and decided to recreate it in the US. So you know you’re dealing with experts here! Don’t go there hungry though because tables usually come with a wait, but the pork buns, beef rolls and lu rou fan are SO worth it!

For an all-around perfect eating experience—Apollonia

Stumbled upon this place while biking and it’s one of our best finds! Walking in feels like entering someone’s home with the inviting, light-filled interior marked by sun-splashed nooks and stylish touches. You’ll love it even more when you interact with the incredibly attentive and thoughtful staff. Can you believe they once comped our meals because we had to wait a little longer for them to come out? It’s this kind of outstanding customer care that makes Apollonia a fave in our books. Try the shaskshuka for a hearty brunch or the spaghetti and grilled octopus for a savory dinner.

For a hidden Mediterranean gem—Pheasant

This unassuming bistro has one of the most charming backyards we’ve ever seen! The open, plant-filled space features a menu of small and medium dinner plates, which makes it ideal for an in-between meal. From the heirloom tomato salad to the grilled octopus or burger, you’ll be sure to find something you like.
